I decided that wanted to organize some other similar events. I have some other ideas for new massive Art Jams like this one, so I'll keep you busy for a while!!
So what to do first? I decided to start woth the oldest of the ideas I had, and go on...
So, the next topic for the Art Jam is "draw yourself as a Blacksad character!"
For the ones who don't know about Blacksad: shame on you! (kidding

So, if you had to appear in these stories, which animal would you be, and how would you be? That's the starting point for this Jam.
BUT, REMEMBER:
It's not only a "furry" yourself. The animals in that comic are not very cartoony, have somewhat realistic proportions (but with exaggeration depending on the size of the animals) and are dressed up and have very human bodies. They normally don't have a tail, but may have it if some animal has a pretty distinctive tail.
I don't want you to imitate Guarnido's style of drawing, just your own style, but keeping these things in mind.
In the end, all the pics I recieve will be put together in a single Deviation, all the characters will be standing together like if it was some kind of "graduation photo"!
SOME RULES ABOUT YOUR PIC:
- Draw it in black and white, no color.
- No backgorund, just the character.
- You have to be in a full body shot.
- You have to imagine you are posing for a group picture. Of course, that doesn't mean you just have to be standing up and looking at the camera, you can be doing whatever you want, gazing at the sky, looking at something else, doing weird faces, crouching (by the way, a crouched character would be easier to place in a group pic
- Have fun designing yourself, and choose an animal that suits you with the appearance or psychology!
I drew my pic as an example already: [link]
DEADLINE: By the last day of October. You have plenty of time. When you have the pic, send me the link by note or by posting it here.
I hope you like the idea!! I am not sure if so many people will join this one because it's not as "mass-media" as the Deviant Zombie Jam, but I had to try! If you'de like to join, tell me, because if nobody looks interested, I may change the subject of the Jam, but I thought this one was cool
Also, you are free to expand this Jam by posting this in your Journal or wherever you want!! The more they join, the better!! WE HAVE TO MAKE IT BIG!
Sorry for the loooong journal, but I wanted to explain everything
More updates aboout it soon!
HAVE FUN, AND DRAW!!

Excepto casos contados, no tienen cola.

DISFRUTAD!!

Stagnation kills; an artist who isn't moving forward is essentially dead.

What is drawing? It is working oneself through an invisible iron wall that seems to stand between what one feels and what one can do. - Vincent van Gogh
Question: Should we keep the clothing style in the same period as "Blacksad"? Or stick with our general personal clothing style?

Draw, my friend, draw!
(Hey, since you're talking about your characters here, I'm not sure if this was clear, so I better point it up: You have to draw yourself

Anyway, you have any interesting ideas, since you pointed it?
